WELCOME To the little 'ole church online. A Place to Worship, Share, Sing-a-long and comment on concerns with one another. "OUR" Prayer Journal and a place for PRAY-ers. Meaningful Messages from the Word of God. OPEN anytime. . . Come Often and stay late! "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law." "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." CYBER CHURCH facilitates A way To Pray as Jesus taught His disciples To Pray, Worship and Christian education, evangelization and community on the World Wide Web." Such a functional definition emphasizes the actual work or ministry of this site. From this definition a Cyber Church can be a ministry of "OUR" "real" local church or denomination, or a personal and/or independent initiative with no formal connection whatsoever to an established church or denomination. Cyber Church may not necessarily implement all of the "criteria's" mentioned. "OUR" focus on only one prayer, worship, etc. Yet, Cyber Church is the opposite of "just a Web page." It's a place we can come to anytime "Just as I A m"! A local church does not have a "Cyber Church ministry" by merely having a Web page with information about "OUR" local church. Cyber Church is above all, interactive. It is "OUR" place that communicates with people and aims to establish a relationship with the visitors.

If the Lord told me to play a dirge tonight, I would do it, because He said so. But He doesn't, and He wouldn't. He says, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise" (James 5:13). I'm sure on balance I... more

"HALLOWED 'BE' THY NAME" I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. --Psalm 34:1 How do you worship? Even though there are many ways to worship God, we all need to remember that worship is an action. It's not sitting and watching, it's something you do. It is participation. It is not mere emotion. It is not a feeling, not a thought process, but rather the active response of your heart, your life, and even your body to God! If you go to a worship service and watch everyone else worship, you haven't worshipped... you have become a religious consumer rather than a spiritual communer. You've become a spectator rather than a true worshipper. Perhaps you grew up in a church where you sang hymns and participated at some level. But, maybe... just maybe... you have never had a genuine experience of encountering the presence of God in true worship. If not, I challenge you to take time even today to tell God you desire to be a genuine worshipper. He will honor your prayer because He has made you to worship Him! You were created that you might know Him and make Him known. As a believer in Jesus Christ, worshipping Him intimately and intensely should be the driving force in your life. That's why I want to call you to become a true worshipper of the Lord Jesus Christ today... whether in or out of church! TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN WORSHIP BY OFFERING GOD PRAISE THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY! Pastoral Traps: Greed Pastors can easily fall into the trap of money-grubbing. Or in simpler terms, we can be greedy. This is true if money winds up in the pastor’s pocket that was earmarked for some other realm of ministry. This is true if the minister is asked about his financial policy with regard to ministry money, and he responds with a “that’s-none-of-your-business” type of reaction. Dependable shepherds are not motivated by what Peter referred to as “sordid gain” (1 Peter 5:2). The old King James Version bluntly calls it “filthy lucre.” That’s an archaic expression, but it says it straight. “Not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.” My counsel to all in ministry is to keep your hands out of the money. Period. Don’t take cash from people. Don’t give change. Don’t take up the offerings. Don’t count the offering . . . or even concern yourself with where the money is counted. And by all means, don’t try to find out who gives the most! If you do, it will affect the way you preach. On the other hand, if you don’t know what passage of Scripture will offend the largest donors, then you’re free to preach the truth to everyone! We pastors have to watch out for doing ministry just for the money. Of officiating at a wedding, for example, because there’s money in it. Or doing a funeral because you’ll get a hundred bucks. Greed has no shame. It will wink at you and tempt you, especially in a day when many pastors are underpaid relative to their education. What I’m saying has nothing to do with “muzzling the ox.” My warning is simple: If you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself justifying greed. Please . . . don’t go there. —Chuck

In order to love ourselves correctly, we must be able to accept and thank God for our unchangeable features. These include our parents, birth order, brothers and sisters, nationality, ethnic origin, time in history, basic physical features, mental capabilities, and length of life. David’s response to the Creator was: “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalm 139:14). http://teachustopray.multiply.com/journal/item/386/Love_Yourself_Correctly |
